About Us
At ManMade, every piece begins with a story.
Our founder, Silas, grew up in a small community in the south of Spain, where life was built by hand and necessity sparked creativity. At the age of eight, after his family’s home was lost to a fire, he began shaping wood with the simplest tools and salvaged materials to help rebuild. From stripping bark by hand to collecting and drying timber from the forest, his journey into carpentry began not in a workshop, but in nature itself.
By the age of fourteen, Silas had already built his own wooden home — every beam, every joint, every detail crafted by hand. Over the years, he went on to construct off-grid cabins, yurts, and domes across southern Spain. What began as survival became a lifelong passion: a belief that working with wood is not just a skill, but a way of connecting with nature, resilience, and creativity.
Today, that passion lives on through ManMade in Ericeira, Portugal. From our workshop, we design and create:
Exclusive product lines of solid-wood dining tables, coffee tables, shelves, and textured art panels — all defined by natural finishes and timeless design.
Custom, one-of-a-kind commissions, where we work closely with clients to bring their vision to life in bespoke pieces of furniture.
Woodworking Workshops, where we open the doors of our craft to others, giving people the chance to learn real carpentry, build with their own hands, and discover the same passion that shaped Silas’ life.
ManMade is not about mass production or instant delivery. Anyone can buy furniture from a store. What we offer is something rarer: pieces made slowly, with intention, that carry meaning. Each creation is handcrafted, exclusive, and built to last — furniture that feels as special as the story behind it.
For us, wood is more than a material. It is history, resilience, and art. And it is our privilege to share that with every client who chooses to bring a ManMade piece into their home.
Welcome to ManMade — where raw timber becomes timeless design, and where the love of craft is passed from our hands to yours.
